A no frills traditional chippy with a place to sit inside if needed. Priced for the tourist market but portions are good.

Category Ratings

🍽️ Portion
Divisive — generous for some, small-and-pricey for others
I've seen some small portions but this takes the piss. 13.50 for fish and chips and the fish is smaller than a small portion from Kendal chippie.
🍟 Chips
Tasty and well cooked
The chips were very tasty and well cooked - definitely worth the money.
🥣 Sides
Battered haggis and black pudding a standout
The real stars were the battered haggis and battered black pudding...The battered haggis was so good that we returned a few days later for another one.
😊 Service
Praised as brilliant by some
Not sure what all these low-star reviews are about; portion size was huge, quality was excellent, service was brilliant.
🎯 Consistency
Inconsistent — experiences range from huge/excellent to small/overpriced
Food was nice but portion sizes were very small chips cheese and gravy looked like a quarter of a box but cost £7.50
